RESEARCH INTERESTs

Dr Marina Pinheiro’s research focuses on the intersection of economic evaluation, implementation science, and physical activity in the context of ageing, rehabilitation, and fall prevention. Her work aims to improve the uptake and sustainability of evidence-based interventions in real-world settings, with particular interest in:

 

  • Cost-effectiveness of physical activity and rehabilitation interventions
  • Design and evaluation of implementation strategies in healthcare and community settings
  • Policy-relevant research to support decision-making in health systems
  • Prevention of falls and promotion of healthy ageing
  • Translation of evidence into clinical guidelines and public health policy
