SERVICE & LEADERSHIP SUMMARy
Dr Marina Pinheiro holds formal leadership and service roles within the School of Public Health and the Faculty of Medicine and Health. She is a member of the School of Public Health Research Sub-Committee and leads the Health Economics Hub within Sydney MSK, a FMH flagship centre, where she provides training opportunities, support and strategic advice to musculoskeletal researhcers. She also supports national policy engagement through her role in the Policy and Advocacy Working Group of the Australian Falls Prevention Alliance Australia (https://www.fallspreventionalliance.org.au/)
Internationally, Dr Pinheiro holds leadership positions across several scientific networks, including as co-chair of the Ageing Special Interest Group of ISBNPA, member of Cochrane Rehabilitation Australia, and contributor to multiple initiatives within the PEDro (Physiotherapy Evidence Database). She plays a key role in global research translation through contributions to the World Health Organization and as a member of the Lancet Commission on Neurorehabilitation. She also serves as a Sydney Health Partners Implementation and Health Economics Fellow, fostering collaboration between research, health systems, and policy.
She regularly contributes to academic peer review for journals, grant agencies, and conferences.
