Associate ProfessorTristan Salles

I have held a range of leadership and governance roles within the School of Geosciences and the Faculty of Science, contributing to academic promotion, student support, and equity initiatives. I currently serve as a member of the Academic Promotion Unit and the Student Academic Appeals Panel, and sit on the School Executive Committee. I have also chaired the Indigenous Strategy & Services and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee since 2021 and have been the School’s Equity & Diversity Officer since 2019.

I have previously served as Deputy Associate Head (Education) and First Year Director, Associate Head of Education, and as a member of the Research and Education Committees, Artemis Supercomputer Advisory Group, and Faculty ICT Committee.

Beyond the University, I serve on the Editorial Board of Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio) and act as a proposal examiner for major funding agencies, including the ARC, NWO, ISF, NSF, and ANR.
