RESEARCH INTERESTs

I study the evolution of Earth's surface-the dynamic "living skin" that connects our planet's physical, chemical, and biological systems. My research focuses on understanding how landscapes evolve over geological timescales, shaping the carbon cycle, nutrient transport, and biodiversity.

I am particularly interested in Earth Surface Dynamics, Geomorphology, and Stratigraphy, with an emphasis on integrated, quantitative approaches to sediment transport and source-to-sink systems. My work addresses how geodynamic, climatic, and biotic processes interact to shape Earth's surface-and how these interactions inform our understanding of global change in the Anthropocene.

To tackle the complexity of these systems, I develop and apply next-generation modelling tools that aim to unify fragmented knowledge across disciplines - akin to the models used to predict atmospheric and oceanic futures.
