BIO

I use quantitative models to explore how planetary surfaces evolve, integrating geodynamics, climate, and life to reveal how landscapes shape Earth and other planetary systems.

I hold a BSc and MEng in Marine Engineering from École Centrale and an MSc in Physical Oceanography from Aix-Marseille University. I completed my PhD in Marine Geoscience at Bordeaux University in cotutelle with IFP Energies Nouvelles (IFPEN), awarded in 2006.

In 2007, I joined CSIRO as a postdoctoral fellow under the Wealth from Oceans Flagship, later becoming a research scientist at the Australian Resources Research Centre, where I worked for six years. Since joining the University of Sydney in 2015, my research has focused on a wide range of projects related to Earth surface processes, integrating insights from geomorphology, stratigraphy, and geodynamics.
