RESEARCH INTERESTs
Prof Villeneuve's program of research involves the systematic application of social learning methodologies to improve cross-sector service coordination and interprofessional collaboration in complex service delivery contexts.
This research is driven by human rights approaches that focus on equity of access for people with disability, their family and carers to mainstream community programs and services. Prof Villeneuves research leadership informs both conceptual and practical dimensions of interprofessional collaboration and resource utilisation.

Prof Villeneuve currently holds an Australian Research Council Fellowship (2026 - 2029) (IM250100233). This project is focused on improving how we plan and prepare for the needs of people with disability (and other at-risk groups) during emergencies. Our goal is to develop a clear and practical system that enables local governments, community-based organisations (e.g., disability, health, aged care, and social welfare), and emergency services to work together effectively across the Preparedness, Response, and Recovery continuum. In particular, we are prioritising organisation-level preparedness capabilities and inclusive emergency management planning.
