RESEARCH INTERESTs
John’s research and teaching interests include performance management, remote/hybrid working, reward management, executive remuneration, corporate governance, 'dark side' leadership, organisational psychology, and international education. In human resource management, his co-authored books include Managing Employee Performance and Reward (4rd edition, Cambridge University Press, 2025) and Human Resource Management: Strategy and Practice (12th edition, Cengage, 2025). His research projects involve both quantitative and qualitative methods, including experimental design.
