RESEARCH INTERESTs
A/Prof McGuire's research is driven by a commitment to pushing the boundaries of technological development to address critical questions in clinically applied immunology. Her primary interest lies in the discovery of high-resolution "immune signatures" that define chronic clinical conditions, with a specific focus on cancer immunotherapy and cardiovascular disease. She is particularly interested in identifying blood-based biomarkers that can accurately predict patient response to checkpoint therapies, bridging the gap between advanced single-cell proteomics and precision medicine. Additionally, her work exports the immune foundations of atherosclerotic arterial disease and the development of innovative reagents and analytical tools for high-dimensional cytometry and imaging. Through these multi-disciplinary projects, she seeks to establish scalable diagnostic frameworks that improve early detection and personalised treatment strategies.
