In line with an overall theme of multimodal atherosclerosis assessment, Tom's body of research has incorporated vascular imaging and analysis using CT Angiography, Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced MRI and Multi-Radiotracer PET/CT datasets.

Tom has previously supervised visiting masters of biomedical engineering students from Eindhoven Technical University, in collaboration with researchers at the St Vincent's Centre for Applied Medical Research to produce 3D-printed aorta models made from imaging data for bench testing of implantable devices on mock circulatory loops. 

Tom is currently accepting expressions of interest for higher degree by research (HDR) supervision.
