SERVICE & LEADERSHIP SUMMARy

 

Dr Tania Gardner demonstrates extensive professional engagement beyond the University through significant governance and leadership roles that contribute to the advancement of the physiotherapy profession. She currently serves as Chair of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) NSW Pain Group and is a member of the Australian Pain Society (APS) Scientific Committee. From 2021 to 2025, she also contributed as a member of the APA Scientific Committee.

Dr Gardner played a key role in the development and design of the inaugural Pain Specialisation Program for the Australian College of Physiotherapists, contributing to the establishment of competencies and the assessment framework for pain specialisation. She is also an assessor for the APA Titling Program, supporting the recognition of advanced clinical expertise within the profession. Through these roles, she actively shapes professional standards, education, and research, reinforcing her commitment to excellence and innovation in physiotherapy.
