Current funded research includes:

The OCEAN-WIP-PS study.The Occasions of Care Explained and ANalysed (OCEAN) tool is an online data collection platform used to collect and analyse clinical activity data from primary health care clinicians. This study has received category 2 funding by the DoHAC of $8.5 million (2024-27) to collect and explore thefollowing data:

· practice level data from general practices

· workforce data from the following groups:

o General practice nurses (GPN)

o Nurse practitioners (NP)

o Physiotherapists

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Isalnder Health Care Workers and health Care Practitioners

· clinical activity encounter data from the following groups (data about 100 consecutive encounters with consenting patients from each participant):

o General practice nurses

o Nurse practitioners

Physiotherapists

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Isalnder Health Care Workers and health Care Practitioners

 

Healthy Back Study: building capacity and safe access to integrated primary care support options for people living in rural areaswith chronic back pain and healthy lifestyle risks. MRFF funding of $1,985 million (2025-2029)

LINK opioid study: to support the overall health of people being treated for opioid use disorder with a co-designed model of care. MRFF Clinician Researchers funding of $1,466 million (2024-2028)
