LEARNING & TEACHING SUMMARy
I have broad teaching and laboratory experience across physics and astronomy at both university and secondary school levels. My teaching focuses on developing strong conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence in experimental methods, while fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Since 2026, I teach the Fluids component of PHYS1902 at the University of Sydney, contributing to core physics training for undergraduate students through lectures, tutorials, and/or problem-based learning (as applicable).
Previously, at Macquarie University and Macquarie University International College, I held a range of teaching roles including Junior Unit Convenor, Tutor, Supervisor Laboratory Demonstrator, Laboratory Demonstrator, and Marker in physics and astronomy. These roles involved curriculum support, coordination of teaching activities, supervision of demonstrators, assessment design and marking, and direct student instruction in lectures, tutorials, and laboratory classes.
In addition, I worked as a Science Laboratory Technician for Years 7–12 at The Pittwater House Schools, Sydney, where I supported practical science education, managed laboratory setups, and ensured safe and effective delivery of experiments.
I am strongly committed to high-quality, student-centred teaching and to integrating modern astrophysical and physical science examples into the classroom to motivate and inspire students.
