Nick Glozier is a consultant psychiatrist specialising in epidemiology, trials and health services research. He has a research interests in public mental health, function, sleep, the workplace, stress, disability and discrimination in our changing psychosocial and technological environments.
Clinically he established the psychological medicine clinical trial and complex mood disorders treatment unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, focussing on pharmacological and behavioural interventions for complex mood disorders. This was the fist public sector clinic offering a ketamine program for treatment resistant depression. This unit focusses on interventions for chronic mood and sleep conditions with NHMRC, industry, health and International funders.
He has multidecade interest in workplace mental health and psychiatric injury, was a contributing author of the WHO’s Disability Classification system and the WHO Disablement Assessment Schedule (WHODAS –II). He has co-produced interventions and management guidelines in this area and advises Government, WHO, and industry bodies in this area. His team are commissioned by NGOs, industry, and government to produce policy relevant end user driven research and program evaluations.
