DrMary Lou Maher

I am a Professor in the School of Computer Science, joining the Sydney Horizons Educators. In this role, I provide leadership in Computer Science education, with innovations in curriculum and pedagogy, including the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence. My research focuses on AI Literacy, Human-AI Interaction, and CS Education. In my recent position as the Director of Research Community Initiatives at the Computing Research Association (CRA), I managed and guided the Computing Community Consortium's research visioning events and publications. My academic career includes appointments at Carnegie Mellon University, MIT, Columbia University, the US National Science Foundation, UNC Charlotte, and CRA.
