DrKim-Yen Phan-Thien

Dr Kim Phan-Thien completed a BScAgr (Hons) at the University of Sydney in 2002 and a PhD in Food Science and Technology at UNSW in 2013. She coordinated the Food and Agribusiness degree from 2014-2019 and had strong involvement in development of the food science curriculum and establishment of the Industry Internship program. She currently teaches and researches Food Processing and Value Adding (FOOD3001) and Food Quality and Safety (FOOD3000). She is interested in innovative approaches to training and collaborating with One Harvest and Sunny Queen to produce VR-enabled training modules on food safety.
