RESEARCH INTERESTs
Professor Simpson collaborates within Australia and internationally on a wide range of projects in public health and clinical medicine by providing biostatistical expertise to ensure methodological rigour in research design and data analysis. Her main research interests are the design of and analysis of data from randomised controlled trials, especially cluster-randomised trials. Her work spans numerous fields of medicine including maternal fetal medicine, obstetrics, oncology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, psychology/behavioural science, paediatrics, clinical epidemiology, geriatrics, neuroscience and mental health, sexual health, obesity and cardiovascular disease, population health, screening test evaluation, health services etc.
