ProfessorJane Bleasel

Professor Bleasel has provided service and leadership in both the public hospital system and public education.  Her service to her profession has spanned 30 years, providing outreach rheumatology services in Wagga, Armidale and Broken Hill as well as Aboriginal Medical Services in Redfern, Armidale and Newcastle.  As Head of the Department of Rheumatology, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital she built the Department into a premier training site and clinical service.  This included registrar training in rural loactions in Wagga and Coffs Harbour.

In the University sector she has held a number of leadership roles in the School of Medicine and Faculty of Medicine and Health.  Her experience in the tertiary educational sector has led to invitations as a accreditor for TEQSA, External University program reviews and Chair of accreditation teams for the Australian Medical Council.
