BIO

Dr Georgios (Yorgos) Angelis is a biomedical engineer and imaging scientist specialising in Total Body Positron Emission Tomography (PET), quantitative kinetic modelling, and PET/CT protocol optimisation. He is a National Imaging Facility (NIF) Total Body PET Facility Fellow at the University of Sydney, where he leads methodological research in PET image reconstruction, dynamic imaging, and advanced quantitative analyses across multi-organ systems. His work spans clinical trials, translational imaging research, and the development of harmonised acquisition and reconstruction protocols for both clinical and research PET environments. Dr Angelis provides strategic guidance on PET experimental design, supports multidisciplinary clinical research teams, and contributes to national imaging capability through training, protocol development, and infrastructure planning.
