MrAntonio Michell

Implementation science researcher working in international, multi-country global health projects focused on digital health in low-resource settings. I collaborate across Australia, Latin America and beyond to co-design, adapt and evaluate digital and hybrid models of care for non-communicable diseases, with a focus on access, quality and equity.

My current work includes IMPACT, a NIHR-funded project developing mHealth approaches for people living with dementia and comorbidities in Peru, and Foot Selfie, which evaluates AI strategies to prevent diabetic foot ulcers. I have also worked on large multi-site clinical trials, including a stepped-wedge trial of post-thrombolysis monitoring in acute ischaemic stroke conducted across more than 100 hospitals in five countries.
