RESEARCH INTERESTs

Prof Brakoulias completed his PhD in 2012 where he assessed for subtypes of obsessive-compulsive disorder. He is the chief investigator in a large longitudinal assessment of the characteristics of patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder. This study is continuing to recruit participants with OCD. He is particularly interested in the role of belief in obsessive-compulsive disorder and other mental disorders and developed the Nepean Belief Scale (NBS). During his fellowship with the Institute of Psychiatry he assessed psychotherapeutic interventions for delusions and other abberant beliefs.
