SERVICE & LEADERSHIP SUMMARy
Professor Sintchenko supervises bacterial reference and genomics services for the NSW Health Pathology - Institute of Clinical Pathology and Medical Research working toward improving laboratory and epidemiological investigations of communicable diseases. He is a member of the Commonwealth Public Health Laboratory Network (PHLN), Communicable Diseases Genomics Network (CDGN) where he chairs Tuberculosis Working Group, and NSW Health Pathology Genomics Clinical Stream. Professor Sintchenko founded and led the annual Sydney Summer School in Pathogen Genomics and Global Health since inception in 2017.
