LEARNING & TEACHING SUMMARy

Teaching

I teach across undergraduate units in French and Francophone Studies and Art History, with a focus on visual culture, as well as modern and contemporary artistic practices. My teaching engages with questions of gender, representation, and transnational exchange.

Units I teach include:

  • FRNC2100 – French & Francophone Visual Cultures 1
  • FRNC3100 – French & Francophone Visual Cultures 2
  • FRNC3633 – Advanced French 7
  • ARHT3681 – Fieldwork: Art and the City (Paris)

Supervision

I am available to supervise Honours and HDR students working on French and Francophone visual culture and art (modern and contemporary).

I am especially interested in projects that intersect with my research areas, including:

  • gender, feminism, and representations of the body
  • surrealism and its afterlives in contemporary visual culture
  • transnational artistic networks (particularly between France, Britain, and Australia)
  • curatorial and exhibition histories
