For more information please go to weisslab.net .

The Weiss Lab's research focuses on the assembly of human elastic tissue, damage and its repair. The lab is very interested in the amazing, self-assembling elastic protein tropoelastin and the use of synthetic elastin to repair elastic tissues in skin, artery, bladder and lung.

Professor Weiss's research aligns with the Faculty of Science Research Strengths - Molecules to Materials, Understanding Disease & Disorder in Humans, Preventing and Treating Disease & Disorder, Understanding and Treating Disease in Plants, Critical Minerals and Materials, Next Generation Materials.
