RESEARCH INTERESTs

Dr Divnić-Resnik’s research spans three complementary streams: in vitro, clinical, and education-focused research. Her in vitro research focuses on the exploration of surface alterations of dental implants and abutments following different decontamination modalities, with emphasis on surface integrity and efficacy. Her clinical research and trials investigate the oral microbiota of healthy and diseased periodontium using dental plaque and saliva samples, furcation therapy outcomes, the role of locally delivered oral antimicrobials, and quality-of-life measures in patients with periodontal diseases. Her education-focused research examines digitalisation of dental education, including video-supported self- and peer-feedback models and the implementation of AI-supported feedback systems to enhance learning, calibration, and reflective practice.
