Beyond his role as part of the Mediated Trust project, he is also an affiliate of the University of Sydney's Centre for AI Trust and Governance. He is the NSW representative for AANZCA, and a member of the editorial board for the journal Policy & Internet as the conference coordinator. He has additionally been nominated as Secretary for the Communication Law and Policy division of the International Communication Association.
