BIO
Timothy Koskie is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate for the Mediated Trust project at the University of Sydney. His work investigates how media applications and platforms, from social media to generative AI tools, shape media pluralism, influence public discourse, and affect democratic participation. His recent studies examine how news organisations impact trust in institutions, the role of platforms in democratic discussions, and the implications of AI-generated journalism. He is also a member of the Centre for AI Trust and Governance, a representative of the Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand Communication Association, and an editor for the Policy & Internet journal.
