Stuart is the UoS Coordinator for BCMB3004/3904 Beyond The Genome / Beyond The Genome (Advanced). This unit explores the post-genome world and our ability to better understand biology and biomedicine through global methodologies. He also contributes major lecture series in Cell Pathology (CPAT3202/3902) on the pathogenesis of Cardiovascular Disease, Biochemistry (BCMB2002/2902), where he explores the genome and post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation-based cell signaling and surface protein glycosylation and Pharmacology (MCHM3001/3901), where he explores omics approaches for rational drug design.

He maintains an active research group that currently hosts 6 PhD students and an Honours student exploring topics ranging from mass spectrometry methods development through to microbial pathogenesis and clinical pathology.
