SERVICE & LEADERSHIP SUMMARy
Moira contributes to the discipline of nursing through a range of university, faculty and school roles. She is deputy chair of the low-risk Health Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and a regular peer reviewer for a range of journals. She is Associate Editor for The Australasian Journal of Ageing (Q1) and a member of the early career editorial board for Nursing Reports (Q2). Moira represents the school at faculty level as member of the Community and Primary Health Care EMCR Advisory Group, and is chair of Sydney Nursing School Hartford Consortium of Gerontological Nursing Excellence working group. She is a member of the Global Observatory of Long-Term Care (GOLTC) which is part of the International Long-Term Care Policy Network (ILPN), and co-leads the Australian Long Term Care Interest Group.
Moira co-leads the Dual Sensory Impairment Project, co-chairs the international Dual-SIG research and practice group and is a current member of the steering committee for the Deafblind International conference, Davos, Switzerland, 2027.
