RESEARCH INTERESTs
The Polymer Nanostructures Group is dedicated to developing multifunctional nanoscale materials for cutting-edge applications in energy and nanomedicine. Our research addresses critical challenges in sustainable materials, renewable energy, and medical diagnostics and treatment.
By leveraging controlled polymerisation techniques, we design and construct sophisticated polymer architectures—focusing particularly on polymer bottlebrushes and nanoparticles. These structures form the foundation of our three core research areas: self-assembly, nanomedicine, and nanostructured materials.
Through interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative material design, we aim to create next-generation nanomaterials with meaningful scientific and societal impact.
Our research aligns with the Faculty of Science Research Missons and Strengths - Molecules to Materials, Preventing and Treating Disease & Disorder, Critical Minerals and Materials, Next Generation Materials.
Our research team is part of the School of Chemistry's Research Themes on Self-Assembled Nanomaterials and Functional Energy Materials.
We are affiliated with Sydney Nano and the Sydney Institute of Agriculture.
