Marie Stevenson is an applied linguist and educationalist whose main fields of expertise are literacy and language teaching. She has researched and written on a wide range of topics within these fields, including second language writing, academic literacy, literacy and technology, and teacher discourse. She has a keen interest in issues surrounding literacy and language education of both foreign language learners and migrants.

Marie is a language teacher trainer on the Master of Education (TESOL) program. Her main teaching areas are literacy, grammar, and language teaching methodology. She is also involved in supporting undergraduate students in the development of their academic literacy.
