DrMaria Lastra Cagigas

Dr Lastra Cagigas contributes extensive leadership, service, and collegiality across the university and the international research community. She serves as an Ambassador for the European Association for Cancer Research, Cohort Leader for the Schmidt Science Fellows, and Associate Editor and reviewer for multiple journals. She chairs HDR evaluation panels, supports faculty peer-review training, and has held elected roles including President of UNSW OC and HDR Representative on the UNSW Research Support Committee. She has completed over 300 hours of leadership training through programs at MIT, Stanford, Caltech, NASA, UC Berkeley, Northwestern, NUS, NTU, A*STAR, AGSM, and Franklin Women. She is also a former Gordon Research Conference Discussion Leader. Dr Lastra Cagigas is an active member of the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) in the Lifestyle and Nutrition working group and contributes to multiple NSW Health research networks.
