Professor Mandana (Mandy) Nikpour is a rheumatologist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Sydney and an NHMRC Leadership Fellow and researcher in the field of systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases at the University of Sydney. She also has training in Clinical Immunology and Immunopathology. Professor Nikpour is Director of the University of Sydney Musculoskeletal Research Centre. Her research interests include lupus and scleroderma, including clinical trials of novel therapies. Professor Nikpour has held continous NHMRC Fellowship and Investigator Grant Funding over the past 13 years and was recently awarded a Leadership Investigator Grant, commencing 2026. She is a Fellow of the prestigious Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences and has received numerous prizes and awards for research achievements, including the Parr Prize, Australian Rheumatology Association’s (ARA) highest research award, the ARA Collaborative Research Prize and the ARA Mid-Career Research Excellence Award.
