Professor Fontana's teaching interests include role of nutrition and exercise in modulating metabolic health and molecular pathways leading to multiple chronic diseases, design and implementation of clinical trials, and clinical epidemiology. He leads the Healthy Longevity Research and Clinical Program within the Charles Perkins Centre and the Faculty of Medicine and Health.
