DrLisa Kouladjian O'Donnell

Dr Lisa Kouladjian O'Donnell is a Senior Lecturer (teaching and research) at the School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine and Health, The University of Sydney. She is also affiliated with the Laboratory of Ageing and Pharmacology, Kolling Institute, The University of Sydney, NSW.

Dr Kouladjian O'Donnell is a credentialled pharmacist, academic and researcher. Her research expertise is in geriatric pharmacotherapy, medication optimisation (e.g. deprescribing and quality use of medicines), digital health, and implementation science. She was awarded her PhD in 2016 for research in developing strategies to improve prescribing and clinical outcomes for older Australians.

Dr Kouladjian O'Donnell is the inventor of the Goal-directed Medication review Electronic Decision Support System (G-MEDSS)©. She has an academic track record that includes >60 publications, >3 book chapters and involvement in >$16M in competitive research funding, including CI on several MRFF-funded projects. Her research focuses on the co-designing of digital tools to optimise polypharmacy management in older adults. 

Her research is recognised with several awards, including the Sydney Health Partners Award for Translational Research Addressing a Health Priority (2025), the ASCEPT Early Achievement Award for Women (2022) and the Kolling Institute Emerging Leader Award (EL1) (2021). In 2026, Dr Kouladjian O'Donnell was elevated to Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, recognising an outstanding contribution and advancement in the practice of pharmacy.
