BIO

In 2025, I completed my PhD in Computational Genomics from the University of Queensland, where I developed machine learning-based approaches for accurate prediction of miRNA functions and m6A deposition patterns. Following this, I am working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Sydney, working in cancer genomics within the Charles Perkins Centre. My research has focused on integrative analysis of large-scale genomic data-including somatic mutations, transcriptomic profiles, and genetic ancestries-to uncover how ancestry and environmental factors contribute to cancer disparities, particularly in prostate cancer.

With a strong background in computational biology, I have applied advanced techniques such as RNA-seq analysis, driver gene detection, and explainable machine learning to population-based cancer datasets. My work has helped identify novel non-coding driver mutations and revealed ancestry-associated molecular features linked to aggressive disease in underrepresented populations.

Currently, I serve as a key member of the Ancestry & Health Genomics Laboratory, contributing to the Southern African Prostate Cancer Study (SAPCS), where efforts aim to harmonise whole-genome sequencing data across diverse populations.
