SERVICE & LEADERSHIP SUMMARy

Kellie provides senior leadership within ASCEPT, Australia's peak pharmacology society as a Director of the ASCEPT Board (2020-2023, 2025-2026) and Chair of ASCEPT's Education Forum (2023-2025). Kellie holds a national-level appointment as Co-Chair of the ANZ Prescribing Skills Assessment Committee with Dr Paul Chin, University of Otago, NZ, which are leading the transition from a UK exam to a fully ANZ-developed assessment of prescribing competence for 4000 medical students across 60% of medical schools.

Internationally, Kellie represent Australasia on the IUPHAR consortium of pharmacology societies, providing a strategic interface between international pharmacology educators and developing international education forums. Kellie serves on the leadership organising committee for the World Congress of Pharmacology Education Satellite Meeting 2026, leading development of an intellectually stimulating agenda to expand pharmacology educational horizons.

Drawing on research expertise in pharmacology clinical trials, Kellie is one of 12 national experts leading clinical trials governance at Bellberry Human Research Ethics Committees; Australia’s largest independent HREC (2021-2026). Kellie has reviewed over 100 clinical trials, primarily first-in-human studies requiring high-level pharmacological expertise to determine safety and efficacy of untested medicines. This essential role ensures ethical practices and medication safety align with national guidelines and international trial expectations.
