RESEARCH INTERESTs

Her research interests are in both galaxy evolution and astrophotonics:
  • How gas accretion drives angular monmentum and star formation in galaxies.
  • The impact of environment in the evolution of galaxies.
  • Astrophotonics: developing astrophotonic devices for future astronomical instruments, in both the optical and infrared (e.g. imaging fibre bundles calledhexabundles).
  • Unified models of active galaxies: diagnostics of starburst and AGN processes using optical and infrared spectroscopy.

Her research aligns with the Faculty of Science Research Strengths - Understanding the Universe, Earth and Space Exploration and Technologies.
