RESEARCH INTERESTs
My main research interests are in the fields of respiration-correlated computed tomography ('4D-CT') image reconstruction and analysis, deformable image registration, and functional quantification for lung cancer radiotherapy. My goal as a Cancer Institute NSW Early Career Fellow is to shed new light on functional radiotoxicity in the treatment of lung cancer, and to inspire new treatment paradigms that spare irradiation of healthy lung. I also have an interest in improving 4D-CT image quality through better image acquisition protocols and iterative reconstruction techniques.I am passionate about this work as it has the potential for near-term clinical translation that could lead to more accurate tumor targeting in lung cancer radiotherapy, with better survival and fewer treatment-induced side effects.
