Dr Jessica Zanuttini is a Senior Lecturer in Special and Inclusive Education within the Sydney School of Education and Social Work and has a background in primary and secondary school teaching. Jessica researches the ways that children and young people with disabilities experience supports and interventions during their journey in education. Using qualitative and quantitative methods, she explores the social, political, and cultural forces that shape their educational journeys, either fostering or impeding their learning and developmental outcomes. A significant focus of her research amplifies autistic voices, fosters caregiver engagement, and integrates co-design practices, ensuring a thoughtful balance between community needs and academic output expectations.
