RESEARCH INTERESTs

Cancer Immunology and Immunogenomics
Understanding how tumour genomic architecture and immune microenvironments interact to shape response, resistance and toxicity to immunotherapies across cancer types.

Precision Immunotherapy and Biomarker‑Driven Treatment Selection
Development, validation and clinical implementation of multi‑omic and immune biomarkers to guide immunotherapy selection, escalation and de‑escalation in routine clinical care and clinical trials.

Mechanisms of Immunotherapy Resistance
Identification of tumour‑intrinsic and immune‑mediated mechanisms underpinning primary and acquired resistance to immune checkpoint inhibitors and combination immunotherapies.

Spatial Immunobiology and Tumour–Immune Interactions
Application of spatial transcriptomics, high‑plex pathology and computational modelling to define cellular niches, cell–cell signalling and immune exclusion within the tumour microenvironment.

Genomic and Immune Determinants of Rare and High‑Risk Cancers
Defining the genomic and immunological landscape of rare and high‑risk melanoma subtypes (youth melanoma, acral, mucosal, uveal, and in‑transit disease) to inform classification, prognosis and therapy.

Translational Integration of Genomics into Oncology Practice
Embedding genomic and immune profiling into clinical workflows, multidisciplinary decision‑making and trial design to accelerate translation from discovery to patient benefit.

Biomarker‑Enabled Clinical Trial Design
Development of biomarker‑enriched and adaptive clinical trial frameworks to improve trial efficiency, patient stratification and therapeutic development.

Implementation Science and Health‑System Translation
Evaluating feasibility, clinical utility, equity and health‑economic impact of precision immunotherapy approaches to support sustainable adoption and policy translation.

Multidisciplinary Program Development in Cancer Research
Building and leading large‑scale, collaborative research programs that integrate discovery science, advanced technologies, clinical translation and workforce development.
