Jacqueline Bloomfield is a Professor of Nursing Education within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the UniversityofSydney.With over 20 years of experience in healthcare education,she is an academic of national and international standing with a record of substantial achievement in senior health education leadership, management, teaching and, relative to opportunity, research.

 

Professor Bloomfield is the Director of International Programs. This includes the Bachelor of Nursing (Post-registration), delivered in Singapore, where is responsible for the development and provision of high-quality, pedagogically sound education. She is also responsible for ensuring the quality of education and clinical experiences for students engaging in international placements.

 

Previous senior educational management roles at Sydney Nursing School include Director of International Strategy (2017- 2019), Associate Dean-Education (2015-2017),Director o fPre-registration NursingPrograms (2013- 2015). At King's College London she held the position of Head of Post-registration nursing (2009-2012).

 

Professor Bloomfield is an accomplished teacher, and in 2019 was made a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). She is Chief Specialty Editor for Frontiers in Medicine- Health Professions Education, an international Q1 journal. She has extensive experience in curriculum development and regularly chairs accreditation panels for the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council.
