RESEARCH INTERESTs

Ian Marschner's research involves the application of biostatistics in health and medical research, as well as the development of new biostatistical methodology. He has worked on large scale clinical trials in a range of therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular medicine, oncology, HIV/AIDS, neonatal/perinatal medicine, COVID-19 and critical care. He also works on the development of new biostatistical methodology with applications in health and medical research, particularly clinical trials, clinical epidemiology and public health. His methodological research areas include sequential analysis, meta-analysis, computational statistics, adaptive experiments and analysis of disease surveillance data.
