DrHamish Lonergan

At Sydney, my postdoctoral research positions the travel writer Jan Morris at the intersection of architectural historiography and queer and trans theory. I am also working on a book project, "Secondhand Theory: A disloyal history of tacit knowledge in architecture," adapted from my 2024 doctoral dissertation in architectural history and theory at ETH Zurich. My other writing appears in JSAH, OASE, Footprint, gta Papers, Interstices, and my co-edited volume This Is Not a Summer School: The International Laboratory of Architecture and Urban Design (ILAUD) (with Elke Couchez, gta Verlag). I am a co-editor of Architecture Theory Review.
