Dr. Hamideh Khaleghi Mohammadi is a Lecturer in Media and Communications at the University of Sydney. She is a scholar in digital journalism, platform studies, and public interest communication, focusing on how digital media ecosystems influence journalistic practices, audience engagement, and trust in information. Her current research explores the intersections of digital platforms, health communication, and misinformation, drawing on her extensive teaching and research experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Her research combines theoretical depth with practical insights, analysing the role of social media platforms in crisis reporting, health behaviour change, and strategic communication. With more than a decade of professional and academic experience, Dr. Mohammadi is dedicated to student-centred learning, curriculum innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. She currently teaches courses on digital journalism and strategic media practices, incorporating real-world case studies and emerging trends to bridge theory and practice.
