BIO

Dr Gianina Raymundo is a Lecturer in the Discipline of Behavioural and Social Sciences in Health (School of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine and Health) at The University of Sydney. She holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) and a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Sciences from the University of Sydney. 

 

Gianina teaches across core, elective, and senior undergraduate units within the Bachelor of Science (Health) and Health Major. Her teaching interests and experience include digital health, health sociology, social determinants of health, health ethics, health policy and rural health. Gianina currently co‑coordinates HSBH1003: Health, Behaviour and Society and coordinates HSBH2009: Innovations in eHealth.

 

Her research centres on health equity and the social and structural factors that shape people’s experiences of health, disability and access to services. She has been involved in qualitative research projects with a focus on health, disability, and digital health. She is a member of the Centre for Disability Research and Policy.
