Associate ProfessorFereshteh Pourkazemi

Associate Professor Fereshteh Pourkazemi is an educational leader in physiotherapy and health professions education, with extensive experience in curriculum design, program leadership, and assessment innovation. She has led the development and accreditation of the large-scale, complex program, the Doctor of Physiotherapy (2021-23), embedding principles of programmatic assessment for learning, clinical translation, and student wellbeing across multi-semester curricula. Her educational expertise spans course and program coordination, intensive and immersive learning design, transition to online and hybrid delivery, and mentoring of academic staff across career stages. 

Her teaching practice is grounded in evidence-based education, inclusive pedagogy, and authentic assessment, with a strong focus on developing clinically competent, reflective, and socially responsive health professionals. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, an accredited University of Sydney peer assessor of education, and a member of the Academic Quality Committee at the University of Sydney.
