BIO
I am a biogeochemist with interest in plant-microbial interactions affecting carbon and nutrient cycling, particularly in relation to global climate change. I started working at the University of Sydney in 2010 and was an ARC Future Fellow from 2011 to 2015. Before my arrival in Australia, I worked as a research scientist at the US Department of Agriculture, Fort Collins, Colorado (2007-2010), a postdoc at the University of California, Santa Cruz (2004-2006), and a postdoc at the University of Minnesota, Saint Paul (2001-2004). I got my education in the Netherlands, with a PhD (2001) and MSc (1996) degree from Wageningen University.
