Dr Farzaneh Boroumand is a Lecturer in Biostatistics at the Sydney School of Public Health and a Senior Biostatistician at the Centre for Kidney Research, Westmead Hospital. Her work focuses on making complex statistical concepts accessible and applicable, both in the classroom and in collaborative research. She designs interactive, engaging learning experiences to help postgraduate students build confidence in applying biostatistics to real-world health problems.
Her research interests include survival analysis, causal inference, and chronic kidney disease. She works closely with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to generate evidence that informs practice and improves patient outcomes. Alongside teaching and research, she actively contributes to peer review, academic leadership, and mentoring, with a commitment to advancing knowledge and supporting impactful, data-driven healthcare.
