RESEARCH INTERESTs
My research lies at the intersection of causal inference, survival analysis, and applied biostatistics, with a focus on developing and implementing statistical methods that improve the validity and interpretability of clinical and population health research. I am particularly interested in methodological challenges arising from time-dependent exposures, competing risks, and causal mediation in longitudinal studies.
A key strand of my work involves simulation-based evaluation and the development of weighted and hurdle modelling approaches for estimating restricted mean survival time (RMST) in the presence of time-varying covariates and informative censoring.
My applied research is primarily motivated by collaborations in chronic kidney disease and transplantation, conducted through the Centre for Kidney Research at Westmead Hospital and the Sydney School of Public Health. More broadly, my work aims to bridge advanced statistical methods with clinical relevance, promoting transparent, reproducible, and interpretable biostatistical practice.
