Research projects & supervision summary
I have delivered high impact research outputs in six major, innovative research projects across three Themes and two Schools, involving:
o koala conservation through habitat on-ground assessments, GIS mapping, and airborne remote sensing (School of Life and Environmental Sciences (SOLES, Themes EEC and A&F) and School of Veterinary Science);
o precision agriculture using multi- and hyperspectral satellite imagery and machine learning to detect weeds and disease (A&F);
o the protection of endangered plant species and forestry plantations from herbivory by combining odour chemistry and sensory ecology to modify the odour landscape (EEC).
My work now underpins research collaborations within Australia, in New Zealand, the United States, and South Africa
